LARCARE

Latin American Antarctic Research Consortium on Antimicrobial Resistance and Emerging Contaminants

What is LARCARE?

LARCARE is a consortium dedicated to investigating antimicrobial resistance and emerging contaminants in the Antarctic ecosystem. Our mission is to understand how human activities influence the microbiological health of remote regions, promoting conservation policies based on scientific evidence and international collaboration.

The LARCARE proposal is an initiative funded by the Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP) and the Agência Nacional de Investigación y Desarrollo do Chile (ANID).
